UAD seems to be headed in the right direction with support for the Thunderbolt interface. Plus you will be able to daisy chain these together in the near future. Still waiting for some one to break the 18-22 input barrier for native based DAWs. For more info on the Apollo Interface visit the UAD Website.
Presonus recently came out with Version 2 of their new DAW Software - Studio One. Melodyne is now integrated within the program and they added Transient Detection and several new plug ins featuring their own Convolution Reverb. All operating at 64 bit.
