Puckett's Rising Star is a singer-songwriter open mic contest open to anyone. This is a 9 week event, with 7 preliminaries, a semi-final and a final.

The final event features the 4 finalists who were selected by the audience and judges panel from 7 preliminaries and the semi-finals. The final grand prize winner receives $500 from Puckett's Grocery, and they will be part of a songwriter round with several established and successful songwriters. Previous winners have seen doors open from their participation in Rising Star, which is great!
