Nashville composer Greg Sims will step into the international spotlight from June 3-9 (Friday-Thursday) when the first 3-D animated faith-based film "The Lion of Judah" is released worldwide, including a premiere run at Nashville's Regal Hollywood 27.

           Sims composed, arranged, orchestrated and produced the 55-minute underscore and re-produced nine of the ten original songs in the film.  The award-winning composer also served as executive producer of the soundtrack CD, which is already available through online retailers such as Amazon.com and iTunes. Additionally, an underscore CD was released by Swedish record label MovieScoreMedia on May 31.

           "The Lion of Judah" features a zany cast of stable animals that embark on an adventure to save the spunky and heroic lamb Judah from being sacrificed for Passover. The film includes the voice talents of Academy Award-winner Ernest Borgnine, Michael Madsen, Sandi Patty, Scott Eastwood, Georgina Cordova, Omar Benson Miller, Anupam Kher, and Alphonso McAuley. Rated PG and recognized by the Dove Foundation with the Dove Seal for Family Friendly Entertainment, the film won the award for best animated movie at the Sabaoth International Film Festival in Milan, Italy.

           The movie will from June 3-9 (Friday-Thursday) run at Nashville's Regal Hollywood 27.  Screening times are 12:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 5 p.m., 7:20 p.m., 9:40 p.m. and 11:55 p.m.  The Hollywood 27 is located off I-65 South at 719 Thompson Lane in Nashville.
