Good luck! Years ago Ronnie Milsap had the rack mount version at his house. I doubt if it's still there. Jamie Brantley had one. Contact him at http://www.myspace.com/jamiebrantley
Steve used to, but sold it. I've used one many times. I loved how you needed to clean the heads everytime you would rewind!

Judson Spence had one I remember.......doubt he still has it but it would be worth a shot. If you don't already have his number PM me and I'll give it to ya.

Thanks J.R., it's actually for Judson & Monroe Jones. Jud was going to try to see if his still worked after all these years (without destroying the tape!)

Wow! I made a demo album with the Akai 1212 in 1992. Fidelity was surprisingly good, considering the format, but archival lifespan might be questionable. I don't know where those master tapes are anymore, let alone a machine. If you get reaaalllllly stuck, I recently saw one hanging on the wall at Sun Studios....
