Empirical Labs EL9
Anybody have these? They are Mic Pre/Comp-Saturation. I'm such a huge fan of everything Empirical Labs. I got 2 on the way. Tell me if I'm wrong but I'm imagining a good mic pre with a compressor that is a combination of a Distressor and a Fatso!

I'm intrigued, but mainly just in the mic pre aspect as I already own a Distressor. Wonder if they'll box a pre/eq

2 things. The pre is good. It's not a Martech or 1073 but it's clear and pretty transparent. The comp/sat is pretty amazing. Especially the compression mixture knob. I've been using my pair on pretty much every tracking session I do now!

Cool, good to hear! I think every compressor should have a blend knob.
