Favorite funk style and rock bass players?

If I had to pick just one of each I would have to go with TM Stevens for Funk and Billy Sheehan for Rock...man this is hard...because there are so many great ones and I feel bad that i am leaving so many out that I truly LOVE!!!

Verdine White for funk

John McVie for rock, although Robert Deleo is a close 2nd

I like Mark King from Level 42 for a Funk/Rock Bass Player.

 

Geddy Lee is pretty good choice for Rock.

Not sure about funk Paul McCartney gets my vote for rock.
