OK.......... (exhale)...... (Career giving away to untalented computer owners (oh sorry, engineers))...... I get Taylor Swift... (the kids)...... But DAMN...... I can only imagine that her crew was high-fivin' and telling her how great her performance was, while they were all missing the Michael Jackson tribute....... Five (plus Michael's performance) of the best in the biz having to follow "THAT"...... Even Stevie Nicks grabbed a tambo on Talylor's segment, so she wouldn't have to sing harmony with her on the last segment......... Even the Bon Jovi segment was great.... Rocks best, doing what they do...... I'm not surprised but disappointed with ACDC lost to Green Day. Love both groups, producers and engineers...... (Maybe next year FRAZE)........

ANYBODY, show's only half over........ Waiting for Les Paul Tribute......

OK G**Dammit, Less than 3 Minutes Tribute to the man who invented multitrack recording..... Man, the Grammys have gone to Sh*t!!!!!! I'm waiting for them to come back from commercial to right the wrong!!!!!!!

But only 2 sec pic and 2 Mins of "How High The Moon" as tribute to the father of multitrack recording.... Shame on the NARAS.......
I was talking about the attention this thread is getting, not about Les Paul, but yes, it was a veiled attempt at a tribute.
Veiled???? NARAS National Academy of RECORDED Arts and Sciences....... It's ALL about recorded work.... Les Paul led the way for multitrack recording, then to digital, then to Pro Tools..... And a two minute song that he had to take to Capitol Records several time to get released????? Bullshit....... Les was a pioneer...... He took us where we are today..... And for NARAS to ignore that in lieu of a 2 min song.... F*** that.....
You're preaching to people who agree with you. Veiled means disguised. You could hardly realize it was a tribute. They didn't do jack.
I wonder if it'd be a lot different if it was just the P&E wing running the show and voting. Maybe not. Maybe worse. Just wondering...

By the way, do they broadcast best producer and best engineer? I don't recall ever seeing those broadcast. I always have to look it up.
They have in the past, but not in the last two years... its been more about performances than the actual awards.
They used to at least cut to a still photo and exclaim "in a ceremony earlier".....
Award shows have become more & more just a popularity contest.
Taylor Swift as entertainer of the year...?
Highly doubtful with all the incredible veterans out there, who actually write & perform amazing music.
I rarely watch award shows for this reason.
High-Five Mark!
