Hi my NMP PEEPS Where do you take out of town friends to show them a good tyme?!

Hi Guys- I'm really curious to know where you take good friends from out of town here? In Seattle we would head to the EMP (The big rock n roll museum that looks like a very funky building on the outside) designed by FRANK GEHRY or we would head to PIKES PLACE MARKET and do waterfront thangs, head to the SPACE NEEDLE and take pics way up top, go hiking down into the SNOQUALAMIE FALLS and all over MNT> RAINER and at night, go see friends play and hop on stage blah blah out at clubs, but me being kinda new here (back n forth since 05) and moved here last OCT well I don't know all the kewl spots just yet, where is the best pole in the water fishing, where do we go hiking, Golf, Clubs, etc.....hmmmm can you fill me in please! I had a friend in town last night and this is what we did, but how do you fill up a whole week? or yikes even two weeks?! Well Friends are lucky dawgs when they visit here cuz there is soooo much to do-- I have not even done any touristy thangs since I first came here...can someone please throw this dawg a bone here and help me out?

this was a msg that I put out to all my buds here at NMP this am after my friend and I had a great tyme last night!!! As soon as I heard that my friend WHISKEY CREEK'S former keyboardist BOB BAKER was coming into town I put out a shout out to see who was playing where....and we had a great time because peeps responded! Thanks All!

aww First off...Thanks to D Michael Thorn for letting me know where and when he was playing last night, but we opted to go to BROADWAY, then I got a msg. from the very fun-e guy with the BLVD-ish name SAM COOPER who said my friends band is at THE WHEEL and he said, I might play at THE COMMODORE so, I feeling a bit like "Marc-Alan Barnette" decided my friend needed a little tour...so we popped into the HALL OF FAME first, then we went "site seeing" I introduced him to "The Naked Hillbillies" and told him the correct pronunciation of the funny street while my GPS said in it's very "british accent" Enter Roundabout!

We arrived at THE COMMODORE and right away before even opening the doors we could hear SAM on stage! So we went in and took a seat, he was fun-e and we also heard him sing and we all helped out in the audience with WATERING HOLE! Mary Hartman was there too- She is a very kewl artist and I love a chick that writes bravely as that's the kind of writer I am too, so she knocked my pants off...not literally but she was awesome! the other players were great on stage too, One of the guys did a ballad that reminded me of a kewl rock-tune Kid Rock might cut and the other guy had a sweet hooky chorus! ok anyway my friend enjoyed himself as this round fired up.
Next up it was DR. J and MISS DIANA who just came in to say "Howdy" and they did a great unscheduled thang...what a little firecracker she is and I love the way Dr. J plays!
I got to introduce my friend to some of my other Nashvile buds and even KAT my good buddy was there and took our picture too, ( great songwriter and Photographer)- if you have ever been to a GUITAR BQ or 3rd SUNDAY at DOAK TURNER"S NASHVILLE MUSE events than KAT probably took your picture! Speaking of picture... we had a great picture of all of us "closing time peeps" taken- thanks to one of the COMMODORE staff! Thanks Rick Stewart and The Commodore for a great time!
Then my friend Bob and I headed to BROADWAY and continued the fun and ended up at ( darn I forget the name of the bar.... it has a great American Flag with Lincolin's Picture hanging above- great atmosphere and I had some kind of a drink that tasted like key lime pie, he had the meat loaf and I had the Bison Burger...with a little Blue cheese dressing on the side...and it was after 12:00PM! and we had a fun Bartender, nobody got drunk, we had fun and Bob will be back! Thanx All :) kkr
