Is it just me or what
When I set up FOH and monitors I ring out the monitors and for feedback and then for FOH I just put on music that I'm very familiar with and tweak the EQ to get it like I like and it normally works for the entire event. Am I alone in this or do others do this..?

That's where I start. At FOH, I also play some noise in bursts to hear what freqs the room is holding on to.
