I know a lot of engineers in town who are fluent in ProTools™, but a friend asked me the other day if I knew of anyone who in town TEACHES ProTools™. (He was asking about one-on-one lessons, not SAE classes.) I couldn't come up with a name. Any suggestions?
Are we talking Pro Tools 101? Or advanced methods? I certainly feel qualified to teach someone about using PT, but I don't have a specific curriculum; nor am I a Digi/Avid Qualified Instructor. It's best to learn by watching someone and then working on it yourself.
Hey Steve. Before moving to Nashville, I was one of the Los Angeles Pro Tools Product Specialists. Worked for Avid (Digidesign) for 6 years. I teach all the courses up to the 300 level for both post and music, and have all the books. I also have the 310i book for anyone that wants to go through the ICON curriculum. I have a D-Control installed at my place in Brentwood.
