I am just trying to pick some audio brains here......not trying to stir up controversy on what drum co. is better, yada.....yada.....yada.

I would just like to know out of curiousity, what has been the best sounding, or easily mixed/eq'd set of drums you have had to work with OTHER than an already preset studio kit? May drummers tune differently and there are many different drum head combinations to use, but generally speaking, what drumkit was overall a pleasure to work with. OR do you feel that it really just depends on the tuning, head combination?

Thanks for your time and input!!!! Happy Holidays!

Best,
Mike Catone

I always love a set of the high-end yamaha's...but I got to record a new kit that Chad Cromwell brought to a session the other day. The company is Craviotto. AMAZING!
Craviotto's are unreal! Tuned right, those things sound unbelievable! I love tracking old school Gretsch kits too. Put an Evans E-Mad head on the kick and it sounds diesel!
