Hello all!
I am interested in releasing a single to Country Radio. Shoot me a reply if you are willing to recommend any services or promoters. I want to hit the "Music Row" stations as well as the "Americana Market". Any wisdom would be a blessing!
Thanx
Chuck
I've worked personnally with Jerry Duncan at Jerry Duncan Promotions. I was pleased with the results ( 2 top 40 singles on Music Row in 2004) and wouldn't hesitate to go back to Jerry again. I hope this is helpful. Good luck with your single. AMJ http://duncanpromo.com/index.php
Hey Chuck,
You can find a wealth of small to medium market stations across the country that are willing to listen to and rotate good product. The key is cost effectiveness and return on your release. It does cost money to send out product and I have found for most small to medium market stations, they are still spinning the old fashioned way with CDs and not necessarily digital downloads. So, my suggestion would be to do some research in your region (where you are performing) and find as many small to medium market stations you can. Make a list and send out demo product via MP3 to station program directors. If they like your single, offer to send a full CD and/or do free promotionals. I have had good success using this process and sold quite a few units by simply working with the smaller (ignored) stations the major labels don't waste too much time on courting.
The right record and the right promoters and it can be done even on a new/start-up label. Every single released on our WMI NASHVILLE label has made the Music Row chart since the mid 90s. It's very much about the single and the promoters, and organization. Call me if you need any assistance with this. 615-885-3888
