HELP!!!

I have a Roland XV-3080 with two Expansion cards, strings and brass.

I have lost the two patch listings for these cards in my MIDI tracks window.

I have the patches that are stock with the 3080, but no expansion list shows up.

The midnam files for both show up in the MIDI folder.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

That is wierd Jeff...Thats definately not normal...still I doubt it is DP, but stranger things have happened...Did you try NOT using toast? Just drag it to a blank CD then drag the cd to the trash to burn?

BTW, the burner is the G5 burner, and I use Tayo Yuden discs.....

Michael

Thanks. The file sounds fine in DP, after dragging to Toast/Jam it sounds fuzzy BEFORE burning. BUT, I can import to iTunes, and it sounds fine. Can even burn from itunes, and it's fine. PLUS it's inconsistent..........grrrrrrr

Anton, Does your friend use Uad 2 card? I have UAD 1.

Jeff Sounds like a problem with you burner, or bad CDs. If the Sounbites menu plays the file back (by highlighting it) It should work file. Also, try burning a disk without toast. Insert blank disk, drag filles onto disk, drag disk to trash can.

That should eliminate some of the variables..

Best,
Michael

I'm having a challenge here......

I'm using DP 5.12. When I finish a mix, I usually bounce to disc and send it to the Soundbites files, then export to either Toast or Jam for CD burning.

Recently I have started to get distortion when the file gets to Toast/Jam, or when I play the finished CD.

I have tried to Bounce to Disc and directly export w/o going to the Soundbites file. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

What do I have going on here? Anyone have a clue?

Thanks!

Jeff

Does anyone use the SSL Duende or UAD 2 card with DP6? Wondering if they works well. Also, the HUGE tip of the day, check out Stillwell plugins. They are models of vintage gear/ eqs that sound great and only cost about 50bucks. The best plug in value to me..
