As a Live Music Producer, I work with artists on their live show - helping them create moments, engage the audience & so much more. Audiences go to concerts to be captured & engaged and to experience moments, NOT just to hear songs! Most of an artist’s income will be generated from their live show, so it makes sense for them to spend time working on creating a great show to keep their audiences coming back. We’re not talking ‘canned’ here… but showing artists the tools & ideas that will hold the crowd’s attention and send them straight to the merch table afterward to buy the CD! You can read more about this and find some great teaching products AND how to hire me or one of our other Live Music Producers at www. tomjacksonproductions.com.
Until then, Rock Well & Often, Amy

Hey folks -

I am looking for a not too expensive room or small studio rental situation not far from the action in town. As long as it's reasonably stable & secure with some amount of privacy, I'm cool. If you have anything or know someone who does, please give me a yell asap.

Thanks,

TL

Hey all, I know many here in the producer group have their own or access to a decent studio. It is Nashville. When I first moved here, I found myself with mix projects that were too big for my home set-up and found myself renting small rooms around town for about 350 a day. Cut to today where I'm sitting on a great space and would love to fill it in these slow times. If anyone could use six iso rooms/booths and a beautiful sounding Sphere Eclipse C console going to PT HD2 for $300 or less a day, please let me know. This includes full use of the building with lounge, kitchenette, wi-fi, etc. Engineer fees will be reasonable if one is needed. Feel free to call or write or stop by to check out the sound and possibilities. Thanks! http://www.jukejointrecording.com/home.html

Hiya -

Just put up a Christmas demo: CHRISTMAS IN YOUR HEART. It's Pop with a very traditional feel. What can I say? It's warm. It's fuzzy. It's Christmas.

Hey there -

Just nailed up a new song demo to the wall: HANGIN' ON A WHIM [co-written with my old friend Nicky Nasko.] It's medium tempo and I'd call it Pop with a twang.

We are (myself and Tom Jackson of Tom Jackson Productions) are what you would call 'Live Music Producers',or Performance Coaches. We work with artists on their live show, finding and creating 'moments' in the show that the audience will relate to and remember. How you produce a song for radio and how you produce it for a live show can be very different. You have time at a live concert to really let the song breathe and give it space, to change the pressure on the audience, to explore that really cool bridge that goes by too fast, to get the audience involved in some way, to create a 'trade-off' between 2 guitar players....any number of things that you can't do on a record. Audiences don't come to concerts to just hear music. They come to experience moments, to be captured and engaged and even to be changed in some way. We're able to help artists learn how understand their audience and give them the tools to put on a great show. Since 95% of an artist's income comes from their live show (unless they 'hit the lottery' with a huge hit), it's important to spend time making the show great. Good shows sell more product, create more fans, keep people going to your website, and get you booked again. Check out www.tomjacksonproductions.com or www.myspace.com/amywolter for more info.
