About Me:
I was born in Columbus, Ohio (Go Buckeyes!) to a very musical family. Early in my journey as a musician, I realized I was terrible at the trombone, and mediocre at the guitar. "Accidentally", I learned that God had given me a connection with the almighty drum.

After majoring in music in college, I moved to Memphis in the mid 80's to attend graduate school. Two years later, I got married to my beautiful southern wife, and moved to Nashville in 1987. I spent the first ten years touring with...The Imperials (who hasn't?), Vince Gill (Willie Weeks on bass..whew), joined the rock gods Allies (this was definitely a career highlight!), Shania Twain (Mutt's pretty cool), Peter Frampton (with Foreigner and REO), and Bob Carlise (I have the Butterfly jacket to prove it!), among many others.

In 1997, I decided it was time to stay home, do sessions, and watch my kids grow up. Since then, I've started my Grammy collection, and continue to have the opportunity to record with Nashville's finest in both the country and CCM worlds. I'm also a member of the Sting/Police cover band "Soul Cages." ...come and see us!

What an adventure this has all been so far. ...It's humbling.

Recent session highlights: Craig Wiseman sessions, new recording with Sony Latin artist Ednita Nazario, Word publishing projects, NCAA women's Basketball Championship theme, Tre Semme jingle, and more..

I also have a great sounding drum studio in my home that I call The House Of Drums. This has been amazing in that it has provided me the opportunity to record drums and percussion for artists and producers from all over the world.

On a final note: Many of you know that soccer is a big part of our household. Both of my kids play on State Finalist teams that are nationally ranked. We're very proud of them, and their desire to be excellent in all they do. What a gift.

Peace.

Drum Lessons..

Posted on January 7, 2009 at 6:00pm 0 Comments

Just want to let anyone who may be interested know that I'm accepting drumset/perc students at this time. Many have requested getting together with me, but I just haven't been able to set aside the time. I can do that now and would love to get it started... Among the requested topics: Reading Music/Number Charts; Doing Sessions; Grooves; just learning something new. If you're interested, drop me an email either here or at www.brianfullen.com.
