About Me:

A native of Marion Illinois, Brice got his first drum set at the age of 4. Born into a musical family, he got his start sitting in with his dad's country band at a very young age. He also participated in various musical ensembles in junior high and high school, such as Jazz Band, Drumline, and Concert Band. As a Senior in high school Brice was ranked as one of the top two Jazz drummers in the state of Illinois by the IMEA (Illinois Music Educators Association) and was a member of the All State Honors Jazz Band. Brice moved on to study at Nashville's premiere music school, Belmont University. While at Belmont, he participated in several ensembles such as Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Small Groups 1 & 2 and the Country Ensemble Southbound. He was also the drummer in Belmont's prestigious Big Band under the direction of Dr. Jeff Kirk. At Belmont Brice had the thrill of studying with Todd London, and one of his childhood idols, the legendary Chester Thompson. It was also during this time that Brice was the receipant of the Larrie Londin Memorial Scholarship from The Percussive Arts Society.

Brice has played with several local Jazz artists and toured and/or recorded with a number of Country and Pop artists including; Brittini Black, Josh Turner, Lance Miller, Kevin Sharp, Sawyer Brown, Brian McComas, Andy Griggs, Luke Bryan, Lionel Cartwright, Linda Davis, Cowboy Crush, Phil Keaggy, Tyler Hilton, Curtis Peoples, Josh Kelley, Todd Sansom and most recently country superstar Sara Evans. In the summer of 2006, Brice began playing with three singer/songwriters who go by the name Lady Antebellum. For the next two years, Brice was the driving force behind Lady Antebellum both live and on their debut album. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard's Country Album Charts and #4 on the Pop Album Charts. The group's first single "Love Don't Live Here" with Brice on drums, peaked at #3 on Billboard Country Charts. Brice recently teamed back up in the studio with Lady Antebellum playing drums and percussion on the song "I Was Here". The song is to be featured during the 2008 Olympic Summer Games on NBC. In late 2008, Brice was back in the Studio with Lady Antebellum to record "Baby it's Cold Outside" for a special Christmas release. In 2009 Brice recieved the thrill of his life when "Love Don't Live Here" was nominated for a Grammy.

Brice spent the summer of 2009 juggling touring with Curb Records all girl trio Cowboy Crush and session work in Nashville, including studio work for the Make A Wish Foundation. Brice played with Sara Evans again in the fall of 2009, and will be a featured artist at PASIC 2010 in Indianapolis. Brice has the great honor of endorsing the products he has played and loved since he was a kid; Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals and Regal Tip Drum Sticks and Aquarian Drumheads.

Brice is currently an independent studio and live drummer living in
Mt. Juliet, TN with his wife Sarah.
