I enjoy reaching out to share good energy musically and otherwise.
Now-a-days I'm experiencing a new journey that is indeed paved with a few jagged edged stones but is a path well worth traveling. I'm enjoying the process of challenging my balance! Hope to meet some like-minded musical energies here on NMP...
Born in Evaston, IL, into a musical family, Cat Beach spent most of her formative years in Charlottesville, VA.
After years studying classical theater and walking a sorted path she realized her true passion and unyielding desire was to make music - music that resonates deeply into the crevices of ones soul.
Playing her guitar, writing penetrating lyrics and performing proved to be a golden path that she could no longer ignore.
In 2009 Cat headed to Los Angeles to record her first album. She teamed up with some of music industry’s finest top musicians: Lee Sklar, Dean Parks, Herman Matthews and Ned Albright. Together they created a beautiful moving and tremendously honest album called “Love Me Out Loud.”
The spirit of the album has been described as “warm and strong.” Her lyrics carry a personal message of her “struggles and her surrender.”
Her music evokes a classic soulfulness that transcends genre and generation.
Cat’s influences are some of music’s legends and icons: Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Barbara Streisand.
She is a mentor for children – with a passion to share knowledge and help those who would not otherwise have the opportunity.
She has an unwavering love for her best friend for almost two decades, her dog Mr. Bugsy Malone.
At the end of the day, she’s just a girl with her guitar, writing lyrics from inspiration, and creating beautiful melodies.
May 2009 marked the release date of Cat Beach’s debut album, entitled “Love Me Out Loud.” Its penetratingly honest ballads, and classic rhythms can only be described as magical and authentic.
