Session and touring bassist

Profile Information

Occupation:
Bass (Electric fretted and fretless)
Company Name:
Bassist / Producer
About Me:
"As a producer and songwriter, Clay Krasner has become my first call for bass tracks on every project that I'm involved in. His speed in chart reading and innovation when creating parts is first rate. I would recommend him on any session."
-- Steve Fox (award-winning Canadian songwriter / artist / producer)

"Clay is an outstanding bass player who's got it all: tone, taste and most importantly the FEEL! He's absolutely at the top of my short 'call list' and now with his own studio my job just got even easier. He always brings something new to the song and takes my tracks to the next level!" -- Shayne Hill (Lead guitarist for Sawyer Brown / producer / songwriter)

For years Clay Krasner has been touring the world, playing bass with major label artists and playing sessions in and around Nashville, TN. He has toured and performed live with artists as wide ranging as Terri Clark, Brian Littrell (of the Backstreet Boys), Chely Wright, Lee Roy Parnell, Rosemary Clooney, Little Big Town, Vince Gill, Bill Conti (composer of movie and TV soundtracks including all the Rocky and The Karate Kid movies), Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and many others.

Clay's good-feeling bass tracks have also been a part of many recording projects, from demos to complete records, with a diverse group of artists. Steve Fox (award-winning Canadian songwriter / artist / producer), Shayne Hill (lead guitarist for Sawyer Brown), Scott Riggan (indie Christian artist), Jason Collum (songwriter / drummer / producer) and several others have greatly appreciated what Clay's bass grooves have brought to their music as well as the easy laid-back attitude he has brought to each session.

Clay offers virtual Pro Tools sessions via FTP uploads and has been utilized on sessions throughout the US and Canada as a result.
