I'm a writer, violinist, composer- the usual conglomeration of skills we develop in a desperate attempt to pay the bills and the taxman. My best productions per date is my daughter Caitlin, and I just celebrated one year married to the kindest man in the music business- John Mock (yes, I know that's not saying a lot). I've been playing string sessions since I was 16- aaaargh!!! Need I say more?
Connie - how refreshing to hear your wonderful work. Being classically trained for years (WHILE playing bass in barn dances - square dances and playing R&R in clubs !! ) your music took me by surprise this Sunday morning ! Awesome !! AND the work it takes to write out your great scores !! Bless your heart !
My name is Liz Ficalora. I have admired your work for a long time. I have seen you perform with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra and Nexus percussion ensemble in Franklin, where the piece you wrote, Sea Without a Shore, was performed.
I have always wanted to contact you to ask you if you teach orchestration. I am interested in learning how to write for an orchestra. I am a Berklee grad with a degree in Music Ed and I have my own music production company here in Nashville.
Do you teach and would you be interested in teaching me.
Love your dramatic violin playing. Love the passion with which you play, that is. On Fantasy, very beautiful lush arrangement. I sure enjoyed talking to you yesterday! And now I'm enjoying listening to your music very much. I'm so glad we connected.
Thank you so much for inviting me to perform with you all on Friday. I consider it one of the high points of my career in Nashville. Loved it. Also, loved hearing Fantasy On an Old Folk Hymn while I was writing this. Did you compose it?
