I just noticed that I accidentally left a message for you on my page and not yours! (Yes, a natural blond). Anyway, what I said was that what you said about apologizing for gospel orchestrators was very sweet, though you're one of the ones that needn't apologize. There's nothing quite as beautiful as the contrasting textures of the different instrument groups and nothing as thrilling as a slow build to a big payoff, and that is apparent in your music.
I wrote you a quicky while at Clydesdale sessions today (I'm exhausted- 8 bars off the whole day, and I'm not kidding). But regarding the dinosaur status, yes, I am one. I use DP to sequence for clients that require it, but I still like the sound of that pencil on the score paper!
I think you were having an Amway flashback. It may have been another Randy you were thinking of, or maybe you thought it so loudly, but never followed through. (I do that) Lunch would be nice, though, I could always eat...;-)
Hey, Dave. The last five years....? It's been an interesting season. Would love to see that article on our old pastor. Got his e-mail blast today. Kirk is not NEARLY old enough to have children, is he? My best to Jan and all your progeny.
Hope you are doing well. I don't know if you noticed or not but Tom Grassi joined the ranks here on NMP. I really enjoy working with him out at Christ Pres. He tells me he used to work with you out in CA some....
I hope you have a chance to great him (if you haven't already) here on NMP!
Your son certainly has done some great work for me lately. Thanks for bringing him into the world! :)
