About Me:
David Northrup's skill and talent as a busy touring musician is matched only by his long list of recording credits and work that he has done with a multitude of artists over varying genres. David's career really took off around 1997 when he started to land some of the more high profile sessions and live gigs both in and outside of the Nashville scene. His long and versatile list of playing credits includes work with Guitarist Les Dudek, Rock Legend John Waite, The James Brown Horns, John Mellencamp, fusion guitarist Shane Theriot and Jam Band Sensation The Disco Biscuits. Country Artists include Travis Tritt (for 9 years) Joe Diffie, Doug Stone, Tanya Tucker, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Lila McCann, Jo De Messina, Jo-El Sonnier, Pam Tillis and Anthony Smith. Northrup is a member of the band The PacAKracRs and is also a busy studio musician and producer in the Nashville scene as well as an international clinician. He was voted number Three Country Drummer and number Two Clinician of the year in The 2008 Modern Drummer Readers Poll. Television Appearances Include The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno 2007 performance with Travis Tritt and in 2004 performance with John Mellencamp and Travis Tritt. The TODAY Show, The Best of The Jammys DVD Performance w/ The Disco Biscuits 2005, Direct TV Freeview Concert w/ Travis Tritt, The View, Jimmy Kimmel, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilbrone, PBS Concert SoundStage, The 2002 CMA Awards, CMT’s 2002 Flameworthy Awards, The 2002 ACM Awards The Caroline Rhea show, ESPN The Best Damn Sports Show, Farm Aid 2000 and The Rosie O’Donnell Show. Miss playing with you too.Who is that on your page when it opens up.Sounds great.Dude playing your butt off, but I expect nothing less from you.Anyway I've trying to make Shaun Murphy's thing happen.The record is # 10 on the national roots charts after 4 weeks.We beat Bonnie Raitt by 10 points when it entered.We released the record Sept. 3rd and we're getting alot of airplay all over the country and great reviews.By the way you're on the sub list whether you know it or not.Keep in touch.
