- I LOVE TO PLAY MUSIC ... I often get the opportunity to play concerts and I have been know to Rock-Out a bit whenever I am allowed and I spend quite a bit of my time leading worship and serving different churches, which I have a huge passion for!
I spent the past few years as a worship leader for Saddleback Church, home of Rick Warren (Author of Purpose Driven Life and well know leader in the world community)... I am so amazed that God gave me the opportunity to spend so much time there and I am grateful for the opportunity to connect to so many amazing pastors, musicians and friends. I can't believe how much I learned over the past few years there!.
I made a little EP in hopes to get some of my ideas down and create a mechanism for people to hear what I am all about. I am currently praying for the right folks to come into my life with the right resources to take my ministry to a higher level but until that happens, I believe it is my place to serve anywhere and everywhere that the opportunity presents itself. I also have a MySpace site dedicated to my music at http://www.myspace.com/davidupton.
Who knows ... maybe you are that person that can supercharge things for me or perhaps I am the missing link to whatever God has in store for you ... either way, I would love to meet you if you are truly interested in making a real connection.
I love God with all my heart, although I hope that I don't act too much like the "typical" christian because most people I have met have told me that they don't want God because of something that they experienced with one of his followers.... so .... if that's typical then I hope I am counter-cultural.
Outside of music ... My goal is to live an authentic life, be the best husband, father and friend that I can be. I spent a lot of years chasing the wrong things and I want to spend the rest of my life focused on relationships ... of course I can't do this on my own so I try to live in close relationship with God and trust him that the rest will just fall into place.

Monday 3/2 7:30PM - Loop Nashville
I wouldn't actually call it a show, but I will be leading a Night of Worship for The Loop Nashville (Hosted by Brentwood Unitied Methodist Church on Franklin Road in the basement)... my style of worship is still going to be close to what my writing style is but it's more important than that!
So .... I would really appreciate it if you could find the time to come down and worship with us and introduce yourself?

As for "I'm Ready," I can't express to you how thrilled I am that you feel excited about making that song yours. There is already so much proof that God is using that song for His purpose -- from the story behind it, the way it ended up even being a work tape, to the strange way Todd "found" it & wanted to demo it -- now with your incredible voice & ministry it will surely touch so many lives in a positive way.
