Diane Sheets, Owner, Sheets Music Entertainment / Vocal Inc
Nashville-based vocal and performance coach Diane Sheets blends together the often-disconnected worlds of formal training and mainstream success. Diane has the ability to translate her knowledge of the voice to effectively communicate with today’s mainstream artists. Her unique approach to developing commercially viable artistry while using modern voice science as her foundation is key to her teaching of good vocal technique. As a Certified Estill Voice International Instructor, and a Professor of Commercial Voice at the Capital University Conservatory of Music in Ohio, Diane has played a seminal role in utilizing ground-breaking curriculum centering on the anatomy and physiology of the voice and acoustics. A talented songwriter, performer and session singer in her own right, Diane’s true calling lies in artist development. With more than 13 years of teaching and music industry experience, she has introduced the science of proper voice technique to commercially minded artists, public speakers, actors and vocalists worldwide.
Diane’s current client roster includes Casting Crowns, Diamond Rio, Natalie Grant, Bryan White, Mike Donehey (Tenth Avenue North), Ericka Dunlap (Miss America 2004), Chad Jeffers (Carrie Underwood band/vocals), Nathan Barlowe (Luna Halo) and many more. Always invested in the complete artist, Diane offers a wide range of performance input including live show, touring and television production. Her concepts have recently been incorporated on the GMA Dove Awards and the Revolve Tour by "Female Vocalist of the Year" Natalie Grant. A professional connection to Grant has also grown into a personal commitment to The Home Foundation where Diane serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors.
