Occupation:
Keys (Piano, Organ, Synths) Vocals, Producer, Composer, Engineer, Studio Owner
Company Name:
Jake Hill Productions/Big Wheel Records
About Me:
Composer, studio engineer, vocalist and world class keyboard player, Jake studied piano, organ, voice, recorder and music theory as a young boy. By the age of 12, he was performing in the company of Arthur Fiedler of the Boston Symphony, Seiji Ozawa, Michael Tilson Thomas of the Philadelphia Philharmonic and The Boston Opera Company to name a few. He received scholarships from The Boston Archdiocese Choir School and The New England Conservatory of Music, attending N.E.C. and Boston College High School at the same time, all by the age of 18. Although Jake is spending most of his energy writing and recording his own projects in Nashville, TN, he is involved in studio work via email and is available for concerts around the country, as well as solo and fill-in keyboard player here and abroad. Thousands of hours in studio time, writing his own material for film, pop music and digital music for web, make Jake a dynamic, precision live player. He is known affectionately as One Take Jake!

Bowling for Others ...

Posted on August 28, 2009 at 2:18pm 0 Comments

Strike and Spare was the hosting site for Special Olympics' Bowl for the Gold! I figure there are more than 3,000 members on Nashville Music Pros, so, being the personable guy that I am, am saying hi to all these people who look like musicians, producers, engineers, artists, and publishers. Well, who knows what creative people look like, so,off I went on a hand shaking campaign.

I met the most friendly folks you would want to meet, all in one place. But I knew that would be the case.… Continue

Hey Jake, a pleasure running into youse-all here in cyberland, not to mention the NMP meet 'n greet. I'da liked to have hung out just a bit longer, but previous plans prevailed. "Caller ID" is like, freakin' charming! Nice stuff all the way around. And hey, the jams will be starting up soon, I'm pretty sure. When the half dozen chimps typing at random finally come up with a liquor license for the new partner/owner of the club. We are doing the Shaun Murphy CD release party this saturday night regardless, so do come on by. Stay well... later!
