Too many ways to list but I will offer that once I was using a studio that Steve Allen had tracked in the day before and the mics were still up and I noticed that he had additional mics underneath. I hadn't done that in years and was pretty impres...

Reed Arvin had one, as well. I have no idea if he still has it. Let me know if you get stuck and want a little help.

Wow! I made a demo album with the Akai 1212 in 1992. Fidelity was surprisingly good, considering the format, but archival lifespan might be questionable. I don't know where those master tapes are anymore, let alone a machine. If you get reaaalllll...

Thanks J.R., it's actually for Judson & Monroe Jones. Jud was going to try to see if his still worked after all these years (without destroying the tape!)

Judson Spence had one I remember.......doubt he still has it but it would be worth a shot. If you don't already have his number PM me and I'll give it to ya. J.R.

Anyone up for some live music?

I started this year vowing to hear some of the amazing live music that Nashville has to offer and I am already very happy I did! I had neglected to get out the last few - okay, many - years and I've missed a lot. It seems too that live sound has improved and I don't mind the amount of non-smoking clubs (hey smokers, no offense intended). Tell me about some of your favorite venues and acts. I just saw Paper Route at The Basement and they blew my mind!
See you at the club.

Hey Jim. Hope your doing good. I'm coming into town tomorrow on some business and I'd love to sit down with ya and go over what I've gotten in to. You won't believe the extra money my wife and I are making in less than 4 months. In this economy I'm sure everyone is looking for extra work. Well this is amazing. Give me a call and maybe we can hook up to talk more about it!

I wanted to let you know that I created a survey - an anonymous one - for men in the audio recording industry, and wanted to invite you to participate (if you feel so inclined).

It is for any/all MEN in the industry - a quick 10-question survey - for statistical and industry research.

If interested, cut and paste the following link into a browser window:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=wooLiff4odvhh4q9uT5arg_3d_3d

It is of the utmost importance that you be honest - brutally honest, if need be, when taking this survey - and remember, it is anonymous. Say was you think and feel!

Thanks for your participation and rock on!

Sincerely,
Jill Kares

P.S. Please feel free to pass this on to any male in the industry. The more that take this survey, the more data we have to work with.
