- In 1982, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where I met JOE STAMPLEY, with whom I toured for eight years, doing appearances on the nationally syndicated shows ‘HEE HAW’, TNN’S “NASHVILLE NOW”, “NASHVILLE GOSPEL”, and a host of other top shows. I also appeared in the “MOE AND JOE” hit country video, “BOYS NIGHT OUT”, and performed on their hit album, “LIVE AT BAD BOB’S”.
Finally, I formed “THE JOHN GARR BAND” in Nashville, playing a mixture of oldies, country and original tunes. The band was the house band on the local hit television show, “THE SATURDAY MORNING SHOW” for four years. I wrote the theme song “JAMMIN”, which was nominated for an EMMY in 1992.
Lately I have been recording and producing some new artist's also writing and chasing the ever illusive cuts here in town
