I was born and raised in Nashville, and learned about music from my dad, who played for the Southern Gospel group the Imperials. I later studied under the great Jazz guitarist Paul Abrams, who teaches at Belmont, and MTSU among other schools.
Every time I play, wether it be Jazz, Country, Rock, Latin, etc., I do my best to look at the whole picture, and add something that sweetens just right-something that helps the song reach its goal.
I’ve had the honor of learning from and playing for Tommy Sims, Michael McDonald, Peabo Bryson, Natalie Cole, Tyrone Dickerson, Daniel Weatherspoon, Kevin and Kirk Whalum, Rod McGaha, Alex Bugnon, Nicole C Mullen, Donald Lawrence, Walter Hawkins, Richard Smallwood, DeWayne Woods, Rizen, Darwin Hobbs, Wes Morgan, Shari Addison, Roger Ryan, Andy Davis, and many more.
I reside outside of Nashville with my beautiful wife, and amazing son.
