Profile Information

Occupation:
Guitarist
About Me:
Band member evolves into studio chameleon. Along the way I learned to read standard notation and Nashville number charts, but still love to play by ear.

In January of 2013, the "note reading" thing proved valuable again when I got to record 3 Broadway shows in 6 days for Dan Rudin, Chris McDonald and David Weinstein.

Instruments include electric and acoustic guitars, nylon string, arch top, electric baritone, bouzouki, mandolin, plectrum banjo, Puerto Rican cuatro, resonator (Dobro) and electric bass.

I've played on lots of jingles, helping sell boots, trucks, cars, fast food, sports franchises, aquariums and hospitals and more.

I've played on lots of demos and artist projects. Also music libraries for broadcast and school music curriculum. Also kid's musical theater adaptations of broadway shows and movies.

IF you really want more specifics, keep reading.

I've done live-to-tape TV (Crook and Chase on the RFD-TV network 2008).

I have toured the U.S., Canada and Europe as a sideman with the Joe English Band, Greg Volz, The Gaither Vocal Band, Randy Matthews and others.

Jingles include:
Toyota, Mattel. Dodge, Ford, Fazoli's, Jacksonville Jaguars, BC Powder, Opryland Theme Park, Tennessee Aquarium.

Music library tunes I co-wrote and played on have been used for TV shows including:
Access Hollywood
The National Enquirer
True Hollywood Story
Wild On
Regis and Kathie Lee
NASCAR Past Champions
World's Best
Men Behind the Wrenches

New song up

Posted on October 16, 2008 at 10:25am 0 Comments

Well, not that new. I started Left Boot Woogie in 1997 for fun. Picture it as a line dance with something extra.
This year I got a drummer buddy to play on it, Rod Lincoln from Kansas City, and talked Dan Rudin into mixing it.
I don't really see me rounding up a bunch of players and hitting the clubs, so this is my "fun" outlet.
Hope you enjoy it, a few people told me they have, even back when it had fake drums.

Paul,
It was a crazy trip; did about a dozen meetings in 4 days, always found gas just in time, but off the beaten path (Jefferson St., Kingston Spgs, etc.). Next time hope to be not so rushed and we'll hang out some.

Yep! I saw you lurking in the shadows here! How have you been? I am doing well and enjoying life still. We need to play one of these years. So the studio is for sale? What has Robin been up to? Take care and see you around the campus. dj
