Preston Sullivan has amassed over 30 years of experience in the music industry in many different aspects of the business.
His early years as a performer (singer/sax player), Preston headlined and toured extensively on the West Coast and across the US. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start a successful independent college record label, Carlyle Records, with offices in Nashville and Amsterdam. He also began two music publishing companies Preston Sullivan Music (ASCAP) and Surespin Songs (BMI) which to date have had over 50 songs recorded by artists around the world several achieving Billboard success. Both of the publishing companies are administrated by Universal Music Publishing and Cal IV Entertainment, respectively. As his companies grew, Mr. Sullivan began producing records and became director of operations and in-house producer for Sixteenth Avenue Sound Studios in Nashville. Mr. Sullivan has produced over 100+ albums for multi-genre artists. As studio director and in-house producer, his marketing efforts helped Sixteenth Avenue Sound secure a client roster that included such hit artists as Steve Winwood, Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Take 6, BeBe and CeCe Wynans, Mark Knopfler, Dolly Parton, George Strait, Alan Jackson, John Denver and Maria Carey - just to name a few. Over 80 of the artists that recorded at the studio in its eleven-year history had sales, which achieved gold, platinum or multi-platinum status with many Grammy nominations or international music industry awards.
In 1997, Mr. Sullivan seeing the future of digital music and its potential global growth, co-founded Tappedinto.com one of the first streaming video dot coms in the US. He produced concerts, conferences and awards shows throughout the world including France, England, Norway, Germany and Jamaica. TappedInto's clients also included the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, the Country Music Association, the REED MIDEM Organization, the Caribbean Music Expo and Island and Ryko Disc labels just to name a few. The company today continues to be one of the market leaders in streaming media services and technologies. He continues to be a shareholder in the company headquartered in Toronto, Canada now called Streamlogics. The company was acquired by Thomas Routers this year.
Preston is currently is the Director at Global Eyes Entertainment, LLC headed by Ramona E. Simmons (former Arista/Nashville Director of International). The company specializes and utilizes best practices through their combined knowledge and contacts in the global international marketplace to help in artist development, marketing, and consulting.
Preston also owns of GEE Music Distribution, LLC which specializes in international distribution deals and product placement particularly for products and services relating primarily with DRTV marketing.
Preston also owns Global Eyes Music Publishing, LLC and is also involved in several music publishing ventures.
