Rand Bishop is a Grammy-nominated, BMI Award-winning songwriter with more than 250 cuts to his credit — by such diverse artists as Beach Boys, Heart, Cheap Trick, Indigo Girls, Tim McGraw and Vanilla Fudge. My List, recorded by Toby Keith, spent five weeks at #1 on the Billboard country singles chart and was R&R’s most-played country single of 2002. Rand’s first book, My List (24 Reflections on Life’s Priorities) was published by McGraw-Hill in 2003.
Rand's latest book is The Absolute Essentials of Songwriting Success (Alfred Publishing, 2010). His novel/mock-memoir, Grand Pop is now making the rounds for development as a premium cable series or feature film. I love the fact that it inspires true artistry, not just clever rhymes. Also, like a good song, it communicates the message by painting the picture with multicolor stories of life.
