Profile Information

Bass-Player / Vocalist / Front-man and whatever else needed.
Company Name:
Dam/MAD Entertainment
About Me:
My real name is Marcus Dahl, I've been playing music for more than half the years I've been alive. My father was a drummer around the Memphis music scene in the the 60's. So, you can only imagine what I started playing. That's right drums. From there during my jr. high and high school days I picked up trumpet, bass, guitar, and joined the high school elite choir.
While in high school band, choir, and playing drums and bass with friends and local musicians, I gained an appreciation for live music and sound. While growing up my parents would frequently take me to the Opry and some times get me in to see some of their friends play and other local and famous artists. I have fond memories of falling a sleep in a bar booth at the 4 Guys night club.
I did go to MTSU for a short time with my major being in sound engineering. While I was there I did take classes in music theory and media writing....., But the clubs and bars had to much of an influence on me and I left school to explore the musical realm of the bars, clubs, dirty beer dives, and redneck biker dives as a sideman and latter as a front-man.
I have my own band where I'm the bass player and lead vocalist for the past 9 years, and have played everything from Classical & Country to Blues & Metal. I've also had the pleasure of having been played on the radio as a co-songwriter for songs by Piranha & Shane & the Money Makers to a live radio show with my former band, the Sinners, on Lightning 100.
I'm always looking to have fun making music and money. Also, I'm always on the look out for good guitar players & drummers who like to have fun making music and money. I specialize in Blues & Classic Rock, and can do backing vocals. I can learn most anything though. Hit me up.
Number of years working in Nashville area:
for as long as i can remember
Number of years in the music business:
from the time I started playing.
