After time in Mpls, NY, and LA, I'm enjoying the Nashville music scene, all the great people I've met, and the musical opportunity. And the Sweet Tea is pretty good as well.
I'm the touring and recording drummer for one of the last great singers of country music: David Ball. From a time before pitch correction and Pro Tools, David is a true talent. He first hit the national scene in the 70's as a member of Uncle Walt's Band with Walter Hyatt, the 'father of Americana music.' After selling three million copies of "Thinkin' Problem" on Warner Brothers, he's collaborated with Dylan, and was covered on Lyle Lovett's 2009 record, "Natural Forces." His next chart-topper, "Riding With Private Malone" still gets thousands of weekly hits, 8 years after it's release.
I was fortunate to record David's newest record, "Sparkle City." Current single, "What'll I Do" released to radio 3/14/11 and is dedicated to Operation Troop Aid.
I also contributed tracks to Davey T Hamilton's "Starting Today," Adam Fear's second record, "You Get Me" and Alan O'Day (Undercover Angel/Rock'n Roll Heaven).
Along the way, I've also enjoyed playing and/or recording with artists such as Lionel Hampton, Steve Cropper, Scott Henderson (Tribal Tech), Steve Khan, Tiny Tim, Fred Wesley (James Brown, P-Funk), Shane Theriot (Neville Brothers), Lew Soloff, Johnny Neel (Allman Bros), Trent Tomlinson, Victor Broden (LeAnn Rimes), Chalee Tennison, Carrie Folks, Debra Soule, BOZO Allegro.
do you want them emailed to you, or sent on a flash drive or ? I'm revising my demo, so I will have 15-30 sec snippets of each cut, mixed down into an attachment, but it still may be 2-3 MB. Let me know if that's Ok to send files that large. And what is your deadline to receive materials?
Guess it was just coincidence. I thought the friend request today, might have had something to do with one of my shows last night. oh well, we'll see you on the road somewhere. Or let me know when you're playing around town.
