Occupation:
studio referral/virtual studio management
Company Name:
ArtistSessionsLive
About Me:
I am the owner of ArtistSessionsLive, a studio referral and virtual studio management company. ArtistSessionsLive specializes in booking multiple studios in Nashville and around the country. We also provide studio services for small and mid size recording studios with a software program designed to remote manage all aspects of a recording facility. I am the former studio manager of The Sound Kitchen and Ocean Way Nashville. I moved to Nashville in 1984 to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. As a songwriter, I had a few songs recorded by major artists. I've worked in publishing administration, at a record label, radio and artist management. I became studio manager of Ocean Way Nashville in 1999. I was studio manager there for almost six years. While at Ocean Way, we were named Billboard Magazines #1 Country Tracking Studio four years in a row, Music Row Studio two years in a row and won a 2003 Mix Magazine Technical Excellence Award for Sheryl Crow's "Come On, Come On" album. In my career as studio manager, I have facilitated records that have sold approximately 100 Million worldwide. I love all genres of music and have been blessed to work with many artists in all genres. To me, great music is great music. I often say that managing a recording studio is an extension of how I grew up. My grandmother always had a house filled with people, making music and cooking. I guess that is why I feel so comfortable being in the studio business. It feels like coming home to me.
