Stan Karcz, a first generation American, grew up in Chicago with his Polish immigrant family. He began playing music at an early age, starting with the accordion, a cultural staple. He picked up the clarinet, moved to tenor sax and ultimately to the piano. He took private lessons at The
Sherwood Music Conservatory and the Bloom School of Jazz. In the early 80’s, he took his first road gig, playing piano, organ and alto sax with a country artist. Ultimately he would come back To these country roots with his songwriting. Stan has performed all over the U.S. and Canada. Today, Stan owns his own piano production company and plays in the finest establishments in
the Chicago Metropolitan area. He has performed on national television, had songs recorded by
independent artists, had songs played on local radio stations in both the U.S. and Canada, and
recorded his own CD. Stan is President of Defy The Odds Entertainment Group LLC an entertainment company for which he is a co-founder.
The writing thing sounds good, but i will have to wait til the 1st of Jan. to know what the schedule holds. I am in the middle of negotiations that will have an affect on my schedule. It is all great but I don't know from one week to the next at this point where I will be if you have an email where i can send you my info. we can touch base by phone.
