Producer, singer, songwriter, musician, radio show host
Wild Oats Records
As a producer, I've worked with 50+ acts in Nashville, from a wide range of states (California, Texas, New York, Alabama, Virginia, Massachusetts, etc.; and of course, Tennessee), and a half-dozen foreign countries (England, Finland, France among them).
I've been performing professionally since 1972. In addition to playing in the majority of US states, I've done approx. 55 overseas tours... performing in 19 countries, including Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic, Scotland, Israel and Lithuania. I'm the co-founder (1988) of Wild Oats Records -- Nashville's Renegade Record Label & Home Of The Three-Hour Lunch -- and have released six CDs of my own on the label. I've licensed my CDs in Europe and South America, and also appeared on a few CD releases in Scandinavia. I've done session work as a harp player and harmony singer, and I also play guitar & mandolin. Last but not least, I co-host a weekly radio show, "The Haggard & King Radio Hour", every Tuesday from 4:00-5:00 PM (Central Time) on Radio Free Nashville/WRFN-FM.
