Taylor Nauta is a 21 year old singer, songwriter, and guitar player born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His sound is a unique blend of warm, welcoming vocals, fast chicken picking, and melodic blues guitar licks. Ever since receiving his first guitar at age 7, country music has been Taylor's heart and soul. Taylor's biggest influences are Waylon Jennings, Steve Wariner, Vince Gill, B. B. King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, Tab Benoit, ZZ Top, Merle Haggard, Roy Nichols, and Brent Mason. During his middle school and high school years, he spent countless hours listening to these heroes of his, constantly playing them over and over until he learned how to play those licks that inspired him so much. After high school, he moved to Nashville to learn from the best by watching them up close, then emulating those licks as often as he could. In no time at all, he was on stage playing with various acts around Nashville turning the heads of both locals and tourists alike. During his time spent in Music City, he got the chance to play with a lot of great musicians and songwriters he admired like Walt Aldridge and Boomer Castleman and learn from them first hand. Today, Taylor is still constantly polishing his craft. Unless he is sleeping, he is either singing, writing, playing, or networking in the music business in some way or another. He teaches guitar lessons, too! No one's quite sure when or even if he eats. With a bushel of great songs, versatile guitar work, and rich vocals, Taylor Nauta is someone you don't want to miss if you're anywhere near a venue he's playing at. He's all about raw, powerful, country music that you can feel and it shows with every note he plays and in every song he sings. Other than all that stuff, he's just a pretty cool guy. So, next time you're out honky-tonkin', find out where Taylor is playing and check him out. Oh, and feel free to drop some mulah in his tip jar and tell him what you think of the music. There is nothing he likes more than a full tip jar, it's probably his favorite thing ever...... Other than southern girls, guitars, bass fishin', and country music, of course!
