At 10 years of age, Terry started playing music with his first band. He played all over Texas and Louisiana playing on the same show with Bob Wills & Charley Pride, opening for such greats as David Alan Coe and Lee Greenwood, and back-up band for Sammi Smith and Freddie Fender. Terry is a singer-songwriter and in 2005 after meeting Hall of Fame Songwriter, Dean Dillon, he was inspired to again pursue his great love of songwriting. Since that time, he has had the great pleasure of meeting another great Hall of Fame songwriter, Don Wayne, who has greatly contributed to his drive of having a "hit song" along with his good friend from Texas, Mark Nesler. He has played many featured writers' rounds in Nashville & Texas, playing with such songwriters as Don Wayne ("Country Bumpkin' and "Saginaw, Michigan"), Jimmy Payne ("Woman" by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap" and "My Eyes Can Only See As Far As You" by Charley Pride), Glenn Douglas Tubb ("Skip A Rope" by Henson Cargile, "Two Story House" by George Jones and Tammy Wynette), Susan Gibson ("Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks) and Jon Robbin ("I Breathe In, Breathe Out" by Chris Cagle and "I Guess You Had To Be There" by Lori Morgan). He has made many friends while in Nashville. He feels so honored getting to know this elite group of people and hopes that he can continue to meet other people that love this life as much as he does. Terry has won several song contests & talent contests - 1988 Billboard Song Contest "Honorable Mention"; In the finals of the True Value/GMC Country Music Showdown 1990; 2005 Semi-finals International Song Contest; 2006 Semi-finals International Song Contest; 2007 Great American Song Contest - Fifth Place; 2007 Texas Songwriting Cruise 1st Place; 2008 Australian Song Contest - International Division Finals; & 2008 Amber Rhodes Song Contest - Finals. Terry has homes in Texas and Nashville and divides his time between the two.
