Profile Information

Occupation:
musician
About Me:
I'm electric and acoustic upright bassist living and working here in Nashville. I've been doing both sessions as well as some tour stuff (I love getting the chance to be involved in both)
I've performed and/or recorded with some of my favorite artists and songwriters such as Steve Azar, The Roys, Johnny Hiland, Don Ellis, Michelle Cupit, Jerry Cupit, Holly Reece, Carlton Collins, Peter Collins, Chad Wilson, Memarie, Brad and Shelly, Denny Martin, Justin Neibank,The Utica, Saratoga, Albany and Palm Beach Symphony Orchestras as well as others. I'm originally from NYC where I attended the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and graduated with a degree in Classical Double bass performance. I'm equaly at home on the electric bass and enjoy being involved in all forms of music. I esp. enjoy working with singers and songwriters as well as producers in the studio. Anything that involves being creative, hearing new ideas, and contributing to great music is a perfect day for me. I'm available for sessions, showcases as well as plain old gigs. If the music is good and the people are cool, I'm in.

Tommy, I apologize for my long-delayed reply, and I hope you are doing well, brother.  Who knew the life drama that would occur over the past 3 years, and I'm just thankful for God carrying me through it.  I'm getting back into composition and recording with no expectations or delusions in my humble home studio, and I just wanted you to know that your partnership and encouragement had a major impact in this venture.  I'm diligently getting my PT and engineering chops back, and I hope we'll eventually get to work together someday.  In the meantime, I pray blessings for your personal life and career.  Darryl

Hey, Tommy--thanks for reaching out, man. Still treading water and catching a few (digital) waves every now and then. We gotta get together even if I have to write a new piece with a classical bass part! I see you hooked up with Matt Nelson--great guy and smooth celloist. I see the makings of a great string section on the horizon...stay in touch, bro!
