A one time resident of Nashville. I am the son of Country Music Pioneer "Pappy Neal McCormick" who help start the career of Hank Sr. and had several studios in Nashville in the 60's and 70's.
My Parents also wrote many Charted Gospel Songs that were recorded by major groups such as the The Florida Boys, The Lafevre's,The Segos, The Blackwoods, Cathedrals, Dixie Echoes, and many more. Some of the Songs were, Faith In Jesus, I'm Longing for Home, Heavenly Highway, Beyond, & Master Of Breath.
I have been in music literaly all of my life (so far). Having toured for many years, I now have a Commercial Recording Studio in Panama City Florida that features a Vintage NEVE Console and a 9 Foot Baldwin Grand. I am still a little old school as I like analog the best. Come check us out!
I have a new Piano Instrumental CD coming out soon! I am doing some Concert and Studio work, so if you need a country piano picker, let me know.

I wish you the best in 2010
I won't argue that the ProTools is a great addition. But DON'T GIVE UP that 2" machine!
The G5 is a good deal, it sounds like. The real key is enough ram, and make sure you have a second drive in there for recording. I think you can fit 1TB in there now, which is insanely more than you'll ever need.
I'm assuming you'll get an HD setup? If not, then the G5 really isn't enough to do a major session on, using LE. Also won't interface well with your big gear. It'd be more like a side setup. But candidly, I've never really worked on PT with a major console. Just something I've not had a chance to put my hands on yet.
Turns out my brother in law is a big fan of yours! He's in pensacola. Works at PCC. What a trip! I said, "ummm, I know him.". One of those funny moments in life where people think you're full of bull. LOL.
Hi Tommy...thanks for being a fan..and thanks for the kind words..The show in Florida will not be our usual full band show I don't believe.. It will probably be a broken-down acoustic version..with just a couple of guitars..probably no drums.. not a regular Shenandoah show but hey,, would love to see ya anyway..
Hey Tommy your studio is really beautiful. Unfortunately Oregon is a"fur piece" from Panama City, Florida! However, if a gig or two comes up in the area for sure I'll stop by. I wish you great success with the studio and the music you're creating. It's a different business than it used to be...a lot of changes...some good, some not so good.
