Tommy,
Good to hear from you. Yes my son is back home. He had a pretty amazing year with the Knights. The team ended up going to the Junior Nationals in EJHL league and won their division! First time in history that a junior team from the south every won. The other teams were a little surprised that a bunch of what they thought where, "rednecks" from the south could play hockey. They beat the Suffolk Juniors and old dominate junior team 4-1 in the championship game. So it was pretty amazing year for him and his friend Robbie Perry. I was talking to Scotty Phillips and he thought the boys were maybe the first guys in Nashville to be on a team that won a junior national championship. So I quest that's great way to end ice hockey. Right now he's not sure he is going to go back. He is wanting to go to college around home.

Is you son going back and pursuing the game?

Tommy-
I enjoyed talking to you after the game the other night. You don't fine too many music industry folks involved in ice hockey. I enjoyed hearing about your son playing in the NAPHL. My son is playing for the Atlanta Jr. Knights and has had a great year. The team is going to the nationals in Boston for the 2nd year in a row. It's been a good for him. Lot's of games and tough practices. They lost the champion last year by 1 goals so they have been pressing hard to go all the way this year. They get teased lot by the New England teams in the ESHL as a bunch of rednecks from the south playing ice hockey... until they beat them.
Then the teams say... Oh, your guys CAN play hockey. Pretty funny. I wish your son the best as he continues to play. Hume-Fogg is a good group of boys. I was very impressed by their continued efforts the other night. You gave us a run for the money. Our goalie kept us in the game. Wish you and the boys the best as you continue into the season.

I have been in the music industry for 25 years myself in marketing and A&R. It has been a tough few years for record execs, but I think at the end of the day...artists have more freedom than ever to get their music to consumers. I have listened to your playing for years and did not know it was you. As a former drummer and vibephone player I appreciate your work. Keep laying down the grooves... you make a lot of us smile!
See you at the rink soon.
