Born and raised in Birmingham, AL. I was introduced to music at an early age through the church. I was instantly drawn to the drums for some reason and at a young age I started the typical drummer ritual of dragging out all of the pots and pans to form somehwat of a drumset out of them. Initially self-taught and tired of me trashing all of the kitchen ware my parents finally gave in and bought me my first drumset.
As I got older and into high school I started participating in marching and concert band where I learned more advanced skills and how to fine tune my craft. From that point on, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
After graduating high school, I bounced around in a few local bands, as well as a few touring cover bands before really digging in to the original music scene. I have toured extensively all over the U.S. including Alaska sometimes upwards of 250 shows a year playing along side such acts as The Cult, Stained, Three Days Grace and Alter Bridge to name a few.
I now live in Nashville, TN and have embarked on a career in country music as a studio and live performer. I am playing with various country artists but my main position is the drummer for Rebel Dawg recording artist Eric Lee Beddingfield. Eric was recently named Artist of the year by Music Row Magazine and was also named by Billbord as one of the 2012 artists to watch, calling him one of the formats fastest rising stars.
I am also currently working with Jesse Keith Whitley, son of country legends Lorrie Morgan and the late Keith Whitley. When I am not in the studio or on the road with them I continue to play with various bands playing anywhere a drummer is needed from cover bands to live fill in situations with other artists or bands.
