It’s been a while since I posted a diary entry. Forgive me. It’s been a crazy summer so far, and it’s only getting crazier! Every week from Monday to Thursday, I co-write songs and produce and sing demos for pitching in Nashville, where I work full time as a staff songwriter for BMG Chrysalis Publishing. - My debut CD "When You Can Fly" released in Canada in April 2009 through On Ramp Records/EMI Canada, and the first single "The Wheel" is currently in R&R's Top 20. I'm also a staff songwriter for Sony/ATV. I'm originally from Canada but I've lived in Nashville for 10 years. I've collaborated with artists from Gretchen Wilson to Jessica Simpson, with 2 songs on Jessica's debut CD including her Billboard record-breaking single "Come On Over". I've had songs featured in movies and TV and recorded by a variety of artists including Sara Evans ("Saints & Angels") and Jesse Lee ("It's a Girl Thing"). I've also won the Unisong Competition and two USA International Songwriting Competitions, an ASCAP award and a SOCAN International Achievement Award.
As a guitar player and backup vocalist I have toured with Pam Tillis, Lila McCann, Crystal Shawanda and Rachel Proctor. I also sang the harmonies on Patty Page's new Curb CD.

One Crazy Summer

I saw something today that really got me thinking. We spend a lot of time, especially in the music business, talking about success. But what is success, really? It’s completely subjective.
