He was most dissapointed becaouse he had to have A" Back Stage Pass" to see him, It would have been so convenient for him to call him here and he could have seen him. Hi Dear Lynne, I am trying to get Doug to sit down and do this as we speak, he loves Steve. As A matter of fact just between us Steve used to come over to Doug's and watch him play when he was really young I think or something to that effect. Anyway I think he is A real fan of Doug's. As well as an old friend. As I said Doug really love him and that would be so wonderful if they could get together on some things and play , how cool would that be?? Gosh!!! Love you girl, you are the Best. Oh, one more thing Doug did in interview on (world wide) Sirus Radio, a couple of days ago, it was awesome. Have A wonderful day love. Vikki

Hello Lynne, Gave Doug the Hug and the good news! So happy things are looin' up!!! I tried to get A letter to Steve Martin from Douglas but had the wrong e-mail and it came back, Doug really wants to do "A Project" With Steve sometime in the near future. Steve has spoken so highly of Doug in his books etc. and he really loves Doug's playing soooomuch, Would sure like to get the message to him that Doug would like Playing with him sometime on A few songs ! I think Steve would be interested. Doug really wants to get in touch and let him know. If you can help us you know how very much it would mean to Doug. He has got his "fancy" Banjo's all lookin' so great had some new work done at Gibson and they sound terrific. You must let Steve know that Douglas wants to do a Project with him maybe his next Album???Doug asked me to tell you that we have tried to write him and all, so please see what you can do, who knows maybe they will do some instrumentals on a lot of the Dillards material and throw in whatever Steve would like to do.
