Hi Mike,
Well , what can I say. But, it has been very tough out here in LA. Of course I am trying on a whole new pair of shoes. I ve been out here about 2yrs now. I moved because my son and his family moved out hear. I gave up a lot when I left Nashville, but was willing to give it a try here in La La land. My kids give me the strength to put up with LA..But still it's a struggle. I was so happy to be invited to this site. I am doing my best to get back in touch with my Nashville people, but not all are on this site. My in law is Carlene Carter, and I can't even get a gig with her right now. Of course she lives way up north above San Francisco. Ha! :) funny! Anyway I am still pushing and contacting. Going out to jam with this Blues Rock Group called Black Angle. They are on and indie label which is cool for me. I am into the Indie and Roots / Americana.
Hey! your playing a cool train blues groove.
Stay In Touch. Look forward to meeting you in Person...

Thanks Mike...it's been really 'crazy slow' this year. ??? I dunno. Seems like a LOT of my musician friends are having a bit of a time getting a good gig, or plugging back in with an 'old gig', even.

Keeping my hopes up that 'a door will open soon'! : )

Thanks!

Hey Mike! : )
I believe you get what you give, in other words, 'you reap what you sow' ! I spoke with Bret T. at the 1st NMP get-together how COOL it was that he came up with a site for professional musicians. A kind of 'spider-web', if you will, that will help all of us crazy musicians stay connected and help make it easier to 'spread the word' about gigs. I must confess, that THIS year seems to be one of the hardest years EVER (I've been in Nashville since 1992), to find a 'decent road gig'. I'm STILL looking, myself.
I will be glad to pass your name along, if I hear of someone looking for drummers! Please do the same for me, as a keyboardist/bgv singer!

BTW, I LOVED Venice...how beautiful is THAT place! Although, they said...."what ever you do, don't FALL in the water" ! ha ha ha! THAT was a little scarey! hee hee hee! I took their advice! "When in ROME," and all........ : )

Hey Mike! Glad to 'meet you' here on NMP! Absolutely, will keep you in mind, my friend. Guess you live here in Nashville, correct? : )

Being that Priest (and my maiden name of Reeves) is ENGLISH, anything for a 'brother across the seas' ! ha ha!

Thanks Bret. Did you ever meet her husband, Charlie Dry? I enjoyed the gig, playing all her hits from back in the day.
Do you know Tully Kennedy, he plays bass for Jason Aldean? he and I worked together on the Disney cruise line back in 1998 when they kicked of in the cruise industry. I don't know if you can help me or not, I am trying to hookup with a national act or supporting act, you've been in town for many yrs and I'm sure you know a ton of guys. Can you point me in the right direction. I don't know if you have checked my website out.. www.starnow.com/miketwigg please feel free to forward it to anyone you think could use it.
Anyway, nice talking with you.. One more thing, will you be attending the summer NAMM show? I will be there on friday. I'll buy the coffee.
