STIMULUS PAKAGE FOR THE ROW

The first thought is mustard-gas, straight and to the point. Thats just me,, a man who syncs Heavy Metal music with pornographic videos from the 50's so what do you want from me?? I do however reside outside "The Box" which kinda makes me the razor in the cotton if you please (or at least I like to think so). And as the world watches our Nation make great strides to become the best so should we with "This Thing of Ours".

And I know, I know, My music sux and The Pope is a Nazi but boB is… Continue

4 Steps of Vocal Training

Ever wonder what vocal training can really do for you? Here are four steps I take:

1. ACCESS THE VOICE

* It's important to discover your vocal strengths and weaknesses because only by becoming aware can you change counterproductive habits- or reinforce what you do that works, instead of just lucking into a good performance.

* As part of an assessment, you should also explore your vocal goals and what it may realistically take to accomplish them.

My Trip to DC

Just got home from my witnessing Obama's Inauguration. As many of you know, MOD NIGHT-A GO GO drummer/husband, Wes Little, got to play at The Neighborhood Ball, backing up Beyonce, Sting, Mariah Carey, Alecia Keys, Shakira and Stevie Wonder! It was really cool that he played "At Last" with Beyonce for Barack and Michelle's first dance. Dang, they look in love, don't they? What a handsome couple. You can see Wes backing up Sting and Stevie Wonder here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Jr8UEiC2Tc… Continue

My Mod Life 011209

Hey Gang,

Ok, so I'm 12 days late on my New Year's Resolutions. I started out fine but the details of last week's MOD NIGHT-A GO GO drove me into a ditch. THANK YOU to all the people who came out to our first mod night at 12th & Porter, it was our biggest turn out yet. Bands, Elle Macho & Million Sellers were outstanding and the talented dancers from Music City Burlesque (Diletta Delight, Lucy DeLovely, Frankie Apple) were go go gorgeous!

Congratulations to Wes Little… Continue

Drum Lessons..

Just want to let anyone who may be interested know that I'm accepting drumset/perc students at this time. Many have requested getting together with me, but I just haven't been able to set aside the time. I can do that now and would love to get it started... Among the requested topics: Reading Music/Number Charts; Doing Sessions; Grooves; just learning something new. If you're interested, drop me an email either here or at www.brianfullen.com.

This Town

I get out to writers nights when I can, and I hear a lot of things.

I hear a lot of complaining how unfair this town is, and how stacked the deck is against the new people.

I say, of course it is, there is a natural filtering sytem that must be in place. Can you imagine what would happen if Keith Urban put an ad on my space saying he will listen to anything anybody gives him?

How could he possibly listen to 100,000 songs? (what ever the number might be) He has the same 24… Continue

Earthquake

Just for fun... Inspired by the local blasting in my area. And written with memories from the '94 Northridge Earthquake. I happened to be visiting LA at the time. What luck, eh?

But it also might be about something completely unrelated to an earthquake...

The ground below begins to rumble

My sense of safety begins to tumble

How was the Play Mrs. Lincoln???

GREETINGS EARTHLINGS,,

I hope everyone had a happy and joyous holiday filled with fuzzy and soft things that let one know "IT" is loved. And that all had a safe New Year doing what We love,, making music. Sweet, sweet music. My band on the run was blessed enough to be giggin' in Nashville and all I can say is that Central State must have handed out Day Passes or, maybe they were Mormon? I dunno?? ( Bah-zing )

So The Gang and I, after a furious game of full contact UNO,… Continue
