even more specifically from a genre popular during that period of time. A few years
pass and these recordings…

Well, looks like Wednesday is moving
day for me. I am so excited!!! (NOT!) The only thing I dislike more
than moving is an IV. You know what I mean. The needle in the vein
after the nurse just missed seven times. I wish I could say that
packing the boxes is better than un packing or taking down pictures is
better than putting them up in a new house but unfortunately it all is
pretty yucky to me. I am one that enjoys peace, harmony… Continue

Tomorrow night, 4/17, will be the last night of performances of "Big River" at TPAC. I have been thrilled to be the drummer/percussionist. The TN Rep has delivered a great run of this musical version of the adventures of Huck Finn. Hope you got to see it. Special thanks to Paul Carroll Binkley, orchestra leader and my compliments to the other incredibly gifted band members, Toni Ferguson, Russ Davis, Anwen Wilkerson, Brad Albin and the amazing Jeff Taylor for making me look good. Also a shout…

It's my job to make you sound good. I play what you want to make you as an artist stand out. I see the drums as a musical intsrument, not as a thump machine.

Yesterday I turned 28. (AGAIN!!) I enjoyed celebrating my Birthday with the wonderful People of Nashville for an entire week. The whole week was magical and I had so much fun with so many wonderful friends that truly came out of the wood work of Nashville and drove in from different States to spend a little Birthday time. I have been so blessed and as you can see, not only did I enjoy performing at these parties but my friends also had a little fun posing me up… Continue

I’ve had the opportunity to work with some military bands over the last 14 months and we’ve had such a blast!
These particular groups are rock bands that entertain troops abroad and in the States, as well as playing high school shows for recruiting purposes.
It’s been such a privilege to work with these quality people who are willing to serve our country. These men and women are able to bring some joy and fun to those in war zones, and it’s nice to know I get to be even a tiny…

There is a subtle psychological shift you can make to take your next performance out of the ordinary and into a real event. I call it "singing from the soul" instead of just from the head. I'll use an old standard to illustrate:
How many times have you sung "Amazing Grace"? When is the last time you ever thought about what the lyrics mean? It's usually played at a swift clip, sung with about as much emotion as "Row Row Row Your Boat" and if the lyrics aren't being read, the words…
