What A Great Month!

Wow! What a great month this has been! I really thought with the economy and all the drab news that my work schedule would have been slowed to a near stall, but the opposite is happening. My recording session work has picked up and I've made a lot of new friernds as well as clients. Worked on some gospel CD projects and songwriter demos. Got to work with Alan O'Day in the studio, he was the writer/ singer of the #1 Billboard hit "Undercover Angel" and… Continue

Vocal Strain: Top 17 Causes

Vocal strain is one of the most serious concerns for professional singers and speakers. Here's my top 17 causes and contributors to straining the voice:

1. Bad Breathing Technique:

...inhaling too high in chest, too much or uncontrolled breath pressure applied to vocal cords.

2. Tight Throat Channel:

3. Yelling:

Overwhelming Year

I was reflecting today on some of the happenings of 2009 some good, some bad, and thinking about how much God has given to me and how much we all take for granted. I believe that God has made this musical journey bittersweet for me purposely so that I would think twice about using the talents he has given me in a way that would bring disgrace to me or him. So much work has gone into my career and I am sure that a lot has suffered because of that. I love music so much but often have to ask why I… Continue

The Mandy Mason Project. The latest in Country Music out of Nashville!

Mandy Mason and co producer Doc Martin have created a new type of Country Music out of Nashville called Continental Country. This is a hybrid. A new genre. It is a combination of Country, Rock, Pop, Blues, Latin, Jazz and some Celtic sounds all put together into one cd. The writing has that traditional Nashville strength and the vocals are fantastic. Mason has been compared to Linda Ronstat, Martina McBride and Wynona Judd all rolled up into one little gal. She plays fourteen instruments, is… Continue

Jenna's Journey

I have uploaded a new song. It is called Jenna's Journey. It is in memory of a beautiful seventeen year old girl who passed away this past September. She had been battling a painful type of cancer since she was 15. If you have facebook, you can read her mom and dads journal entries for the past two years. The group is called Jenna's Journey.
