A TRIBUTE TO THE MEN AND WOMEN OF WORLD WAR II

Yes, we have had many wars and are currently at war.  To me the

freedom savers were those who fought World War II.  Before, anyone jumps to conclusions, I served in the Air Force from May51 to Mar55.

So it is not my intentions to belittle anyones contributions to the USA.  But when you think about the men and wormen of World War II and

how many of them died, how long they had to fight and how well they

got the job done, I have named them:  THE FREEDOM…

FROM MY WINDOW

Following up her release of PUPPY DOGS AND COUNTRY GIRLS DON'T BELONG ON CITY STREETS, Lisa wanted another country song from the past.  She selected FROM MY WINDOW, written by Billy Stone and George Wells in 1982.  These guys write country, real country.  Not the so called modern day music that is just a stone's throw from Rock. So please give a listen.  You will find the lyrics not fancy, with some warmed over hook.  Just a song about the grief that follows broken love.

PUPPY DOGS AND COUNTRY GIRLS DON'T BELONG ON CITY STREETS

At last.  The first part of our dual release is out.  The song, as recorded by Lisa Carr of Huntsville, AL.  Lisa puts her heart into the song and with the great music track she has, country music lovers should feel like the production is the way country music should be done.

The second half of the dual release, the book, will be out in about a week.  The book is based on the story of Julie Leigh, from Paint Rock,AL who packs her bags with dreams and things and heads for Nashville to…

BASIS FOR THE SONG "I'LL NEVER FINISH LOVING YOU

INTRODUCTION TO: “I’LL NEVER FINISH LOVING YOU”

Every once in a while we hear of a love story that really touches the heart and represents the epitome of what marriage and love is all about. Such is the story of Mildred and Ernest McMurtrey of Huntsville, Alabama. They fell in love, were involved in World War II, had a family and realized every dream they had. Their story of picture perfect love touched my heart. I guess, it’s the dream every American has. So when you hear of such a… Continue

A NIGHT WITH NASCAR DRIVER NEIL BONNETT

One Monday night, in August of 1977, myself and a number of friends, met Neil Bonnett at the Prestige Studios in Birmingham, AL, to record a song we had written entitled:

“THE MEN WHO RACE FOR THE CHECKERED FLAG.” We had worked out a deal with Bobby Allison to sing the song for us, but, he said he was too busy and suggested we use his brother-in-law, who was an up and coming NASCAR driver. We signed Neil to a recording contract and only later did we learn that Neil could not sing. On that… Continue
