After recovering all my lost "stuff", after my second pc meltdown, is now something I'm not as worried about, as I might have been earlier. It's doable, just a little agrivating. It cleared a lot of clutter off my desktop, and keeps my brain from getting too foggy. Last week my pc crashed again! When It asked me to restart, after the Windows Update finished installing, it closed, and then I got a black screen with a message telling me to insert the Windows Installation Disk and restart. I didn't get one with this relatively new pc. I called Compaq, and they sent me the required disk. Unfortunately, it arrived in the mail, after I left for the airport. I won't be back until the 29th. If when I return, and I install the Windows Installation Disk, and everything is again wiped off y pc, I believe that I will return this pc. I may opt for a Mac. If they'll take the refund value of mine, plus about $600 or so in exchange for a Mac, I may change. 3 crasheds in 11 months is I believe enough to try anybody's patience. All that being said, there are enough variables in this story, that I'll have to wait until I get back home, to know anything.
