Greetings to all of my Nashville Pros Friends!
I want to share the news about our foundation for children and youths in urban East Nashville and the surrounding areas:
The Music Ministry of the Ray of Hope Community Church, Nashville, TN
The Music Ministry of the Ray of Hope Community Church has created a stewardship fund raising program based on music products, music services, and music artist who are “Friends of the Ray”, Pastors Martin Espinosa and Dr. Renita Weems. Our goal is to plant something that we believe will impact our community. It is a partnership. It is to model our faith with stewardship actions that support the Pastoral vision and teachings of the Ray of Hope Leadership according to biblical principles. It is to use our time, gifts and talents to create a vision of hope for those who need access to the resources that will bring real change to the families and youths of this community.
The following are the areas of focus for our annual campaign beginning in 2009-2010:
“Friends of the Ray” CD and DVD 2010
The “Friends of the Ray” CD will be a compilation of Music from Recording Artists who are willing to partner with the Ray of Hope by creating a project that will benefit the vision and ministries to serve the community. An agreed upon percentage of all proceeds will be paid directly to the Ray of Hope from each CD. The CD will be sponsored and marketed by Sovereign Records via Ray of Hope’s website, web-distribution, such as Amazon.com, iTunes, Rhapsody, etcetera. The project will have its own website and link to attract other friends to the “Friends of the Ray” Campaign to give charitable donations. Our goal is to video the concert for purchasing and future promotional purposes. Pricing will be announced at a later posting date on our website.
“Friends of the Ray Concert”
On June 25, 2010, Ray of Hope Community Church will host its first annual “Friends of the Ray Concert”. The purpose of this celebration of gospel music is to raise funds that will help us develop “Friends of the Ray” Music Foundation. “As a community church, our vision is to empower the lives of individuals and families by developing holistic ministries which are grounded in the Word of God.” Developing the “Friends of the Ray Music Foundation” within our church facility will allow us to better serve the youth of our community through the ministry of music and realize our vision. Friends of the Ray of Music Foundation will include a School of the Arts with courses in dance, instrumental and vocal training. It will offer training in Studio Recording, Engineering, Music Production/ Programming, and Live Recording to the East Nashville Urban Community and beyond.
The Artist will consist of the contributors to the “Friends of the Ray” Volume I CD. One Major Act will be appearing in order to secure sponsorships from the Endowment Community, State and Local Government and the Music Industry of Nashville, (Leadership Music).
